Puppy Warranty
Health Guarantee, Buyer Responsibilities & Terms of Sale
Veterinary Examination Requirement
At the Buyer’s expense, the puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within seventy-two (72) hours of taking possession to validate this health guarantee. If the puppy is purchased on a Saturday, this requirement is extended through the following Monday.
Failure to have the puppy examined within this timeframe will render this health guarantee null and void.
Health Findings & Refund Policy
At the time of sale, the puppy is represented to be in good health and has received age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and a veterinary health check.
-
Minor, common, and treatable conditions (including but not limited to fleas, internal parasites, ear mites, or similar conditions) are not grounds for refund or replacement, as these are common in young puppies and are easily treatable.
-
If, within the required 72-hour examination period, a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a serious internal health condition (including but not limited to heart, lung, or gastrointestinal abnormalities), the Buyer may be eligible for a full refund of the purchase price, provided that:
-
Written documentation is supplied from a licensed veterinarian, and
-
The puppy is returned to the Seller within three (3) days of the veterinary diagnosis.
-
Assumption of Responsibility
Upon transfer of possession, the Buyer assumes full responsibility for the puppy, including but not limited to:
-
All veterinary care and medical expenses
-
Training and behavioral development
-
Environmental adjustment
-
Any damages caused by the dog
The Seller makes no guarantees regarding human allergies, training outcomes, or behavioral traits.
Communicable Disease Disclaimer
The Buyer acknowledges that exposure to public areas (including but not limited to dog parks, pet stores, and areas frequented by other animals) poses a health risk to young puppies.
The Seller strongly advises limiting exposure until the puppy has completed its vaccination schedule. The Seller does not guarantee against communicable diseases, including but not limited to:
-
Parvovirus
-
Coccidiosis
-
Giardia
Feeding & Transition Guidelines
At the time of pickup, the puppy is being fed Purina Pro Plan Puppy (Chicken & Rice Formula).
If the Buyer chooses to change the puppy’s diet, it is recommended to do so gradually over several days by mixing the current food with the new food to prevent gastrointestinal upset. Temporary changes in appetite may occur due to environmental transition and separation from littermates.
General Disclaimer
All puppies are sold as companion animals (pets only). No guarantees are made regarding:
-
Adult size
-
Color or coat texture
-
Breeding ability
-
Genetic outcomes or DNA results
-

Buyer Representation
The Buyer certifies that they are purchasing the puppy for themselves and not acting as an agent for another party. The Buyer further agrees not to resell, transfer, or place the puppy with any commercial breeding operation or mass-producing kennel.
Limitation of Liability
The Buyer agrees to release and hold harmless the Seller, Candice Fannin, and her estate from any and all liability for damages or injuries caused by the dog after transfer of ownership. This includes, but is not limited to:
-
Property damage
-
Personal injury
Transfer of Ownership
This agreement applies solely to the original Buyer and is non-transferable. Any transfer of ownership will render this agreement null and void.
Acknowledgment
This agreement shall be executed in duplicate, with both the Buyer and Seller retaining a copy. By accepting possession of the puppy, the Buyer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms outlined above.
